Introducing Bertie, our immaculate 1973 Volkswagen T2 Baywindow Campervan that is somewhat of a rarity amongst the VW’s on the scene. With his automatic gear box, you really don’t feel as though you are driving him, he will simply get up and go and take you on an unforgettable adventure. Your holiday begins as soon as you turn on the engine, sleeping up to 4 he is the perfect holiday home for couples and families. Bertie has found his way into people’s hearts through his easy-going style and nostalgic charm, now it’s your turn to take the wheel and make some treasured memories! Based in Huddersfield, Bertie is ideally situated for trips to the Peak District, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and further... Insurance, breakdown cover and parking for your vehicle while you take Bertie away is all included. No additional fees for extra named drivers. Bertie has a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, sink and fridge as well as all the crockery and cutlery you would need. Bertie also includes a gas heater for when those days and nights get a little chilly!

We enjoyed our trip overall. Matt was always responsive and helpful. Bertie is beautiful to look at and turns heads. The camper is very cramped to sleep 4, 2 plus an awning or tent would be preferable. Shorter journeys would suit Bertie better e.g Peak District. He had handbrake and timing issues when we used him which need some attention.
